36 Weeks

Look at me, posting on time and everything!!! I can't believe I have less than 30 days until my due date!! I keep thinking she will come on May 25th so maybe even sooner! It's crazy to think I'm nearly full term! I've been pretty busy getting my house deep-cleaned and trying to soak up as much alone time with Avelyn as I can. I know these next few months will look very different for her and I both. I am a little sad (and feeling a little guilty) that it won't just the 2 of us stompin' around anymore. I'm sure it will be quite the adjustment for us!

How Far Along? 36 Weeks

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 23 lbs (that's +3 this week!)

Stretch Marks: Nope...hoping that means I'm in the clear!

Best Moment of the Week: Taking Avelyn to Kiddie Acres today with some mommy friends. She had such a great time going on all the rides and we went to this cool spot for lunch afterwards that was basically a giant outdoor playground. She had the time of her life and I got to sit back and have some adult conversation! :)

Movement: She is still moving quite a bit in there! Her movements are more painful than not these days. She especially moves around after I have had something cold to drink ...see below ;)

Food Cravings: Still loving my ice and orange juice!

Anything Make you Queasy or Sick? Morning sickness is still gone so I am pretty happy about that! I felt really nauseous today on the way to lunch but I think it was just because I waited too long between meals.

Gender: Girl!

Belly Button In/Out: It's out and for some reason that makes me so happy. I think it's like when you cook a turkey and the little button pops up when it's done...that's how I feel now that my belly button is out..she is ready to come!

Wedding Rings On/Off: On!! They are a bit tight sometimes if I am too hot but I am just impressed they still fit.

Happy or Moody: Mostly happy! I had a particularly bad day and evening yesterday. Avelyn refused her nap and that pretty much ruined her for the rest of the day. She was acting out and hitting me. Bedtime was an almost 2 hour long process and I had to put myself in time-out for a bit just to calm down. I went into Isla's nursery to cry and pray and then finished bedtime. She slept great once she did go to sleep and I thought it would be nice to take a long hot shower and wash the day off. 

Side Note: Our house is almost 30 years old and the shower was in bad shape, so last week I paid someone to refinish the grout. The grout guy told me the entire shower really should be replaced so we planned to do that after Isla came and I just had the grout fixed up for now.

Anyway, when I was finally done shaving and everything I decided to just sit down and relax under the water. As soon as I leaned against the wall, it completely caved in!!! It gave me a good scare and then I went into pity-party mode for the rest of the night....crying and feeling so upset. In hindsight, it's pretty funny but last night I was just not in the mood. Thankfully we have a fully functioning shower upstairs that I can use until this one is fixed. :)
