Avelyn's Nursery

 It's not 100% finished but I just couldn't wait to show it to y'all!

Also, I've been debating something... seeing as I could NOT find a cute nursery that was also affordable, I decided to post how much everything cost.

Without further ado...

My hubby and I found this Ikea dresser for FREE on Craigslist. B repainted it and the pink drawers were actually his idea! I love the way it turned out. The wall decor above the dresser is hard to see but it was used at one of my baby showers and it was too pretty to not put up. Eventually, Avelyn's newborn pics will either hang from it or replace it.

I love, LOVE, loove the glider chair. I find myself going in the nursery just to sit and rock in this chair. I hope Avelyn likes it too because it is soo comfy!!

This mobile was very tedious to make but it is by far my most favorite piece in the room! I found the tutorial a few months ago and have been dying to make it since. The fabric matches the fabric of the crib skirt.

It can be done! It was very time consuming to find the furniture but I have plenty o time on my hands and I cannot resist a bargain. Many thanks to my hubby who I dragged asked sweetly to accompany me to many, many Goodwills and Salvation Army stores and who also spent hours painting and carrying this stuff up stairs!!!


All that's missing is our little princess!!
